Default help using bread and cat meat baits

Hi plan to give bread flake and cat food a go on my local waters, what kind/type of bread should I use and how big should the hook bait be and what size hook and strength line should be used?

Also what's best cat food to use and again what size hook and line should be used? Should I also handfeed cat food in my swim?

Keith

There's been many a knowlegeable idea or two said about bread on here in the recent past.
Catfood I've used rarely but with good results for carp. Seperate the chunks and shake them up in a poly bag with groundbait or breadcrumb. Take the slop and bits to mix wet with groundbait or micropellets for small balls of feed. Carp will sometimes dig a pit to get at it. I tend not to feed many chunks as loose offerings. Riddle some catmeat same as lunceon meat for more cloud, and expect Tench and Bream to be interested.
I recently started catching rudd on it. Wasn't expecting that.

You don't say what your local waters are? Or what you are targeting?
If you want flake get a fresh bloomer, if you want punch get a medium sliced White loaf, if you want to hair rig punch get a thick sliced toast loaf and fold the slices in half..
Hope this helps....
