Reports from the progressive Bedforshire Club reveal that Chris Jarvis has landed the first reported double figure zander of the season from the South Lagoon of the Wyboston Lakes Complex at 11lb 12oz.

The large zander picked up a legered mackerel fillet in the early evening. The venue, linked to the River Ouse by a small channel, is well known for its excellent zander fishing with specimens over 16lb caught most seasons and it can be fished by non club members on a day, night or 24 hour ticket. In addition to the zander predator fans will also find a decent head of pike present with plenty of doubles and the occasional ‘20’ to be caught.
