Overview

Designed for the mobile angler. Ultra light compact design and perfectly balanced. The Velcro straps for attaching the rods to the quiver are simplicity itself.

Verdict

Korum quiver

Most of the so-called roving quivers I've seen in the past have been lightweight all right, but mainly due to the fact that there was nothing to them - cheap, flimsy material, one main pocket and two small pockets for two rods.

This one from Korum truly is lightweight, but it is far from being a couple of pockets stitched together with a shoulder strap sewn on. It will hold two rods securely via the base pockets and two very easy to use Velcro straps. The main compartment will hold a standard size fishing brolly comfortably and, with a push (and I know because I've tried it) it will take the Korum Stormshield Brolly, which is a serious bit of heavyweight kit. Not that you would want to when roving but that gives you an idea of what is possible. That main compartment has a toggled snood to keep the brolly secure.

There are two other pockets, one zipped over its full length, for banksticks and the base is reinforced to combat mud and moisture.

The padded shoulder strap is fully adjustable and the carrying hand is a round and comfortable rubberised tube. Both shoulder strap and carrying handle are removable via two easy to use clips.

No doubt about it, this is the quiver to go for if you make those long treks along the riverbank to distant swims, or just love roving the banks of stillwater or river. It will take all your basic requirements for a day's fishing.

A very nice bit of kit displaying all the thought that usually goes into Korum gear, and for just £19.99 it won't break the bank.

Looks to be the usual high Korum standard. I think it's a mistake to put the rods on the same side as the bankstick pockets though; my Drennan quiver is designed similarly and it's a pain to get the rods on with half a dozen banksticks in the pockets.
