Fox Evolution Compact Brolly

FOX EVOLUTION COMPACT BROLLY
Price: £199.99

The Evolution Brolly has been with us for some time and has always found favour with the short session angler. In fact many longer stay anglers have taken to the Evo Brolly for the ability it gives them to up stakes and move to another pitch, at least during the summer months when cold and damp are less of a problem. But add the optional groundsheet (£22.99) and the Compact Wrap (£119.99) which gives it an outer skin and you have a versatile system that will cope with most shelter situations.

What makes the Evolution Brolly system pretty unique is that it is dynamic, which means it can be erected in various shapes to suit whatever swim shape and size you find yourself in.

The Compact Evolution Brolly has aero grade aluminium blocks and ribs and the new upgraded 6oz fabric which is breathable and highly water resistant.

It was never difficult to erect. Now though, it's even more simple, for there are no loose ribs and the joints are the 'easidome' type. It folds down to fit in a bivvy-size bag with a full length zip for easy access.

FISHINGmagic VERDICT

I was a fan of the Evo Brolly before, but always had a problem rolling it into a small enough diameter to fit in the central compartment of my quiver holdall. Now though, with the 'easydome' joints and it folding into a smaller bag more easily, I'm an even bigger fan.

Not cheap, but good quality and serves a very useful purpose in a very versatile way.
