Chub Rova Specialist Quiver

CHUB ROVA SPECIALIST QUIVER
Price: £19.99

This is the quiver I have always wanted, so you'll pardon me for being biased since I designed it for those awfully nice people at Chub. I have used it a few times now and not been disappointed at all with it.

It is meant for the roving angler, someone who wants to cover a few different methods, but not be tied down with masses of equipment. Someone on the move on rivers or lakes. However, it is amazing how much you can carry in it.

There's first of all a main pocket into which you can fit a landing net handle (secured with a Velcro strap!), and either two rod tubes or one rod tube and a medium sized brolly. There's also a generous sized pocket for banksticks and above it another zipped pocket for rod rest heads or even some alarms if you wish. On the opposite side is an open pocket that will take either a collapsible triangular landing net or (my choice) a golfing umbrella in case of any quick ten minute summer showers (and I have used this because we did have one).

It is also possible to fit two made up rods on this side secured either by the Velcro straps provided or the D rings if you are using Chubs Rova rod bands with clips. For extra security there is also a belt to ensure that the rods cannot possibly come away in transit. The whole package is finished off with a quality shoulder strap and hand grip. What else can you want?

Chub have a reputation for top quality at a fair price and you will get change from £20 (possibly less if you shop with some of our advertisers on this site).

Like I said, I have used this a few times now and it serves my purposes really well. However, we'll see what benefits it really has when the river season opens. I can't wait and I don't expect to be disappointed with this!

Jeff Woodhouse's VERDICT

This is what I've always wanted. There's no fussiness about it and no overkill on the accessories, yet everything works very well. The manufacturing of it is superb with quality stitching throughout. Like I said, I am biased towards it since I designed it, but look one over for yourself and see if you don't agree.

Just a quickie to Jeff, or anyone else who owns one of above.
Looking to purchase one of these, but need to know the distanace in cm's or inches between the bottom of the quiver and the rod retaining loops. The reason being is i use three piece rods when stalking/roaming, and need to know if the loops are in a posistion where the will hold the rod section in place ( the drennan super specialist quiver does, hoping this quiver will too )
Cheers
Tony
