Temple Lake at Bury Hill on Form

Regular Steve White grabbed a quick overnight session on Temple last Thursday and was rewarded with the capture of a cracking 34lb 12oz mirror, made all the more memorable by the fact that it was the first time the fish had been caught.

34lb 12oz mirror for Steve White

With tag number 143554, the big mirror was stocked on the 7/8/2004 from the King George weighing 33lb 5oz. In fighting fit condition, the fish had spawned meaning that days earlier it would have weighed close to forty!

Fishing peg 3, Steve fished a cut down Source boilie with a PVA bag filled with chopped boilies and 22mm Nuggets which he also loose fed with 2mm Source Pellets into a deep channel just on the edge of the weed. Steve also landed a mint common which weighed 24lb 8oz whilst also loosing a good fish.

Generally, a lot of anglers are catching on Temple as water temperatures finally hit seasonal expectations with many of the fish coming off the top!
