Korum Accessory Chair

KORUM ACCESSORY CHAIR
Price: £59.99

Korum say
This revolutionary new design is the most versatile angling chair available.

It is the only chair available that will take attachments and accessories directly fitted to the frame.

Complete with four independent and totally adjustable legs with mud feet, the Korum Accessory Chair will cope with all sorts of bankside terrain - soft ground, hard ground, slopes and angles are all easily dealt with.

The feet swivel in all directions

Once in position the chair can be transformed into an ideal and comfortable fishing station by adding the Side Tray and by fitting other accessories like the Telescopic Feeder Arms and other accessories.

The fully aluminium construction is light, strong, solid and folds flat for easy transportation - it even comes with its own carrying strap.

All this makes the Korum Accessory Chair more versatile than any other, wherever you are fishing and whatever you are fishing for.

It's another great example of “FISHING MADE EASY”.

The carrying strap is kept in this zip-up pouch

The chair has independently adjustable legs that are fitted with swivel mud feet. This enables you to adjust the chair to the perfect height and always keep the seat area perfectly flat. The back of the chair is also adjustable and can be positioned from vertical to near horizontal.

There is a full range of Korum Accessories that fit onto the chair. These enable you to customise the chair to suit your exact needs. An example of this is the Korum Feeder Arm which can be positioned at exactly the right height, from low down to up in the air, to suit your style of fishing.

FISHINGmagic VERDICT

Let's get the negative out in the open first. This isn't a chair for the roving angler due to the weight, which is a fraction over 13lb with no accessories attached. Considering that it's the ability to add accessories that make this chair unique and extremely versatile, you can add a pound or two to that if you include one or two accessories. So, unless you're fit and strong and willing to put comfort above the effort of getting it there, this is a chair for carrying reasonably short distances or for humping on a barrow with all the other kit.

The rest of my observations are all positives. This is a chair that carries 'Angling's Most Versatile Chair' tag, and as far as this reviewer is concerned of that there is no argument. The upright legs can be fitted with all Preston's On-Box accessories as well as most other seatbox 'scaffolding' on the market.

The Korum brand is aimed at those anglers who slot in that very large gap that rests between 'specialist' and 'pleasure' and to me this chair is the epitome of that area, being eminently suitable for carping on commercial fisheries or seeking those specimens on the larger lakes and rivers.

Great leg locking bar for safety

I particularly liked how well the legs locked into place with the locking bar and how solid it felt. Having being one of many unfortunate anglers who have had a chair collapse underneath them that's a very important point, especially for those who were unlucky enough to trap their fingers at the same time.

The chair is very well made and sturdy and if you want comfort and versatility albeit at a weight-carrying price, then get out there and buy one. At £59.99 I reckon it's excellent value compared to similar products that don't come near to this chair for value.

Looks like there's some great innovative ideas on it, like the leg locking bar (ask Kevin Perkins about chairs collapsing - heheh!). That's probably what adds to extra weight to it.

One thing you missed though, Graham, how is it for having a kip in?
