NEOTERIC - “Of recent origin: modern”.

The range Korum Neoteric rods consists of just three models, the 12ft Twin Tip being reviewed, the 12ft Quiver and the 12ft Float.

Korum have identified what they consider to be today's requirements and the development team have worked on the product specification and performance of each rod. They came up with what they consider to be the correct mixture of balance and power, along with the correct guides and a screw reel seat.

Korum believe that the Neoteric range of rods truly reflect what the Korum brand is all about - rods that will be used by today's modern pleasure angler.

FISHINGmagic VERDICT

These are rods for anglers who will be seeking big fish, even the lightest top at 1.75TC and the minimum line rating of 6lb, is still a marriage of heavy gear that is just about light enough and well balanced enough for, say, chub fishing, but is an ideal strength for light carp fishing, floater fishing and barbel fishing where line strengths of 8 - 10lb are about right.

The 2.2lb top makes the rod quite a beast, and is best used where lines of 12lb to 15lb are needed. Long range casting with 3oz-plus leads and for barbel fishing where they grow big and live close to snags, or when heavy PVA bags of feed need to be cast some distance.

The Neoteric Twin Tip is a great looking rod that feels good and, due to the two rod tops, has a versatility that should suit most anglers who fish for the bigger specimens. Go to your local stockist and handle one, but be prepared to part with your cash because I can tell you, you'll like it.

been thinking of purchasing a new barbel/carp rod, and this sounded good.
Not in my local yet but found

on the net.

There are three rods in the neoteric series, carp, feeder, and float, all offering £21 to £31 savings on reccomended prices.

Good value methinks!
