Pure carbon 2 sectioned carp-fishing rod. Very strong action combined with light and balanced structure. Top level finish with a screw reel seat plus E.V.A handle and double legged wrapping guides.
This excellent rod comes with a cloth bag.

FISHINGmagic VERDICT

The 'Carp Concept' immediately struck me as a rod made for fishing at distance as I pulled it out of the cloth bag it comes supplied in. Heavier than some, but not all of the more well-known carp rods from the bigger brands, this rod is not one for holding all day long. Just as well then, that it is designed for carp fishing. Spending more than enough time on a rest, the weight will not become a factor. Tackled and paired up with a complementary reel, the rod balances out like any good rod should.

As mentioned earlier, the rod looked capable of some big distances when required, and this was certainly the case. Although I did not have that much room to cast, that being I would have landed on the other side of the lake if had tried, I was certainly able to reach a good 80 yards with ease. Compressing nicely and with the correct timing, the rod did it's job and launched my 2½ oz lead where I needed it to go. Another feature of this rod, is the addition of a line clip, allowing near precise accuracy, providing you get the direction of course. The line clip on the rod is also less harsh on the line than using one on the reel.

The stiff action of the rod meant that striking into fish was effective, especially at long range. Playing fish became a bit hairy under the rod tip, but this is expected with a rod that can cast long distance. You can't have it both ways!

All in all, this rod was a joy to use and catch fish on. I've had fish to double figures on it and it in no way stuggled with anything. I was casting with weights of around 2½ oz, but I would have no problem lobbing out a method feeder full of bait.
