RRP: £99.99

FishingMagic Verdict

You've got to hand it to this suit for style. The cut and the two-tone colour cut a dash on any fishery; no wonder it's the suit of choice for many game anglers who don't have to worry about daubing it with splodges of groundbait.

But that doesn't detract from its usefulness as a waterproof suit for any kind of fishing. It's quite tough and durable and the one I've worn for some time now hasn't let any water in. It's not breathable though, which is a shame as a good suit like this one from Wychwood would have been even better if it had breathable material.

Korum Lightweight Suit

Jacket and Bib and Brace

  • Waterproof and breathable
  • Material 10,000mm waterproof, 3,000mm breathable
  • Stormflap closure on all pockets
  • 6 external pockets one internal
  • The Korum Lightweight Suit is perfect for spring, summer and autumn use
  • Combined with the Korum Fleece the Lightweight Suit provides all season protection
Sizes available: Small, Medium, Large, XL, XXL

RRP £129.99

FishingMagic Verdict

The Korum Lightweight Suit is a good all-rounder, providing you combine it with a good set of thermals in winter. The advantage of course is that the suit will be appreciated in the spring, summer and autumn when you need to cover up but don't want to be too warm. It allows the layer principle to be used, which is recognised as the best way to protect yourself from the elements.

The cream on the cake is the suit is breathable, which means that the sweat you generate when walking to your swim can evaporate and not soak you from the inside.

This suit would have won Editor's Choice had it not been for the price (reckoning on having to buy a set of thermals too for the winter months for all year protection). But if you don't mind spending the extra then this is certainly the best all round suit.

Sundridge IQ 2-Piece Suit

Jacket
  • Breathable
  • Guaranteed 100% Waterproof
  • ¾ length Jacket
  • Bib n' Brace Trousers
  • Clear Vision Hood System
  • Stormguard Collar
  • Fleecy Lined Handwarmers
  • Spacious Pockets
  • Inner Security Pocket with Zip
Bib and Brace
  • Zippered Map/Phone Pocket
  • Waist Adjuster
  • Two Way Front Zip with Storm Flap
  • Chill Guard High Back on Bib n' Brace
  • Waist Adjuster
  • Stone Proof Knees
  • Ankle Expanders
  • Snap Lock Braces

Sizes available: Small, Medium, Large, XL, XXL, Giant

RRP: £69.99

FishingMagic Verdict

This is a true winter weight suit that is guaranteed 100% waterproof and breathable, and at the extremely reasonable price of £69.99 it just nips past the Korum suit to take Editor's Choice.

Sundridge have built themselves a reputation for producing good quality angler's clothing and this suit maintains the standard. It is warm, waterproof, breathable and comfortable. And it comes with its own decent quality carry bag. A worthy winner.

Shakespeare Thermal Two Piece Suit

Two piece thermal suit manufactured from 210D PU coated nylon with PVC backing for additional thermal insulation. Fully waterproof and windproof - this suit incorporates taped seams.

Jacket

  • Detachable lined hood with drawstring and Velcro closures
  • Full thermal lining
  • Double zipped front with Velcro secured storm flap
  • One zipped inner pocket for security
  • Breast and front cargo pocket
  • High style wind jammer collar
  • Drawstring waist adjuster and neoprene cuffs
Bib and Brace

  • Full thermal lining
  • Heavy duty braces with snaplock fittings
  • Two way front zip with Velcro secured storm flap
  • Four large front cargo pockets
  • Zipped leg bottom with gussets
  • Reinforced knee and seat area
Sizes available: Medium, Large, XL, XXL

RRP: £60.00

FishingMagic Verdict

This is a real heavyweight winter suit that belies the price of 60 quid. It's waterproof but not breathable, but if you want a suit that will defy the cold then you won't go far wrong with this one.

If you're strapped for readies then don't hesitate. It may not be breathable but it's got everything else you need to keep out the winter chills.

I just had a look at the write up for the Sundrige IQ2- it looks ideal, i have an old one piece Sundridge suit which is fine but being a one piece it can get too hot at times, but it's either leave it on and boil or take it off and be chilly.
The Sundrige IQ2 looks up to the The normal Sundridge standard and at a good price.
Is there a Sundridge website ?
