Fox Carp Experience 2008
With just over one month to go until the first-ever UK Fox Carp Experience at The Carp Society Horseshoe Lake, we are now ready to release detailed plans on what anglers can expect from the day.
The event is totally FREE to enter and park. It will open at 10am and close at 4pm, on Saturday September 6th, 2008. It will take place at The Carp Society Horseshoe Lake, Lechlade, Glos.
Every angler who attends the event will be entered into a raffle to win some top Fox prizes, including the new Stratos MAG reels, SFD rods and Stratos 10000 reels.
The event will focus on giving anglers the chance to:
- Try Fox tackle in a real fishing environment
- Learn the top tactics from Fox's team of leading carp consultants
- See the latest new gear from Fox International
- Have a load of fun during the day too
Below is a list of main events planned for the day.
Fox Rig Masterclass: 12.30pm-1.30pm in the Fishery Club House
A 1-hour session with Steve Spurgeon and Chris Rose where they show you how to tie some of their most effective rigs, and explain how and when to use them.
Fox Q&A Forums: 11am-11.45am and 2pm-2.45pm
Your chance to ask any carp-related questions to our panel of experts, including Ian Chillcott, Chris Rose, Colin Davidson and Steve Spurgeon.
Fishing demonstrations
Watch Steve Mogford/Carl Goulsbra and Matt Ridley/Adam Clewer fish the famous Horseshoe Lake. This is a great chance to ask them any carp questions and see how they make their most devastating carp rigs.
Bivvy Village
The FIRST time we'll be showing the public our new range of 2009 bivvies. This area is hosted by Neil Smith. There will also be a competition to see who can erect a bivvy the quickest.
Casting Area
EVERY Fox rod will be assembled with various Fox reels including the new Stratos 12000 MAGs. Ian Chillcott will host this area, allowing anglers to cast with Fox rods/reels, but to also offer advice on how to cast further and more accurately.
Fox Spodding Champs
We're looking for the UK's best 'spodder'. The champs will focus on accuracy. The winner will walk away with a Fox trophy and loads of Fox gear. The £1 entry fee will go to Charity.
