The February 2012 EA Fisheries and Biodiversity Newsletter has now been published giving details of the many projects undertaken throughout the region.

 

 

 

 

 

Amonst the many projects undertaken in recent months by the EA’s Fisheries and Biodiversity teams are the following:


Aldershot Park AC
Urban fishery enhancement is a job well done.


Catfish Removal
Big cat removed from a Hampshire lake to protect native fish species.


Fobney Island
Major £500K fish and wildlife restoration project  is unveiled at Reading.


Fish Rescue
Due to low rainfall fish rescue operations carried on throughout the region throughout the autumn months.


Salmon Spawning Improvements
Details of projects undertaken on the Rivers Test and Itchen.


Radcot Weir
Fisheries team help to redesign the weir to improve fish habitat.


Scale Collection
Kits available for Sussex clubs to help future fishery management decisions.
