Feeder Rods (or Swimfeeder Rods) are, as you would expect, primarily for fishing a swimfeeder, but of course you can also use them to fish a plain leger weight. Feeder rods usually come with at least one quivertip, either built in or, if supplied with a selection of quivertips, as plug-ins. These quivertips will have various test curves, or strengths, so that the correct strength can be chosen to suit the conditions on the day. The better quality feeder rods will have a comprehensive selection of quivertips to choose from.
If you want to know more about feeder rods see our buyer's guide.
