'FIRST CLASS BIT OF KIT AND WELL PRICED TOO.'
Strengths:
Plenty of power for carping. Not much droop at 12.5m.Handled fish to 10lb 11oz from snaggy far bank swims ok!
Weaknesses:
seemed a little heavy to start with but soon adapted.
Overall:
I couldn't have wished to have bought a better "first" pole.

'IT AIN'T THAT STRONG'
Strengths:
for it's price, rigid, light and stiff
Weaknesses:
The heavier spare top set is weak and the tip splits and the elastic cuts on the resulting sharp edges. Two poles on a match broke in identical circumstances yesterday. Ther real test will be how Preston regard the letter I'm about to send them outlining the problem. I'll feed that back too.
Overall:
I still think it's probably the best value for money spent. I'll adjust the Performance,Quality & Value marks when I get the reply from Preston

'GREAT VALUE'
Strengths:
Stiff and balanced enough to fish and hit bites at 12.5m. It's strong enough and landed Carp to over 11lb first time out. Spares availability from Preston is superb.
Weaknesses:
The diameter is quite large making it little more awkward in windy weather and the finish sticks to your hand when shipping out in wet weather.
Overall:
Recommended. I'm not sure I want to try teh 14m version unless the fish were hooking themselves and I had a spray bar to hold it!

I've added loads of spare top kits and they're not bad value - Top 3 Match or Power kits are £39.99. No.3's are £25 and No.2's are £20.

'ITS A JOY TO USE.'
Strengths:
This pole is so strong but is also easy to use at 11 meters. At £199 its got to be the best pole for its price range.
Weaknesses:
A little heavy when using the extension to 14m. Quality is good, not excellent, but what do you expect for £199.
Overall:
Seriously, if you are looking to buy a pole under £350, buy the Zyrium, you will not be disappointed.
