'GREAT VALUE SCALES'

Strengths:
quick reading and very lightweight, the molded handle is very comfortable and allows stability,seems to be very waterproof and because of size can be hidden away in tacklebox.

Weaknesses:
the chain sometimes gets snagged with the hook and can give wrong reading?

Overall:
very reasonable and hard wearing, feel a bit uncomfortable with actual weight so keep spare spring scales just in case, (old school) but they seem to be correct at all times so far, very good product for price.

'THE MUTT'S NUTS'

Strengths:
Light, accurate, easy to read.

Weaknesses:
Remember to carry a spare battery. They last AGES but you know how it is...run out just when you need them most...

'Two years old and still spot on accurate'

Strengths:
Instant reading to the ounce, will take a reading and flash when done with final reading.
has a backlight for night sessions
just been checked up to 22lb and was spot on

Weaknesses:
The chain and hook for weighing does not retract.

quite large

Overall:
Bought off ebay for 25 quid in 2003 they are on the same battery, have been kept in a damp environment and still they work!
