| 'NOW YOU'RE <I>NOT</I> COOKING ON GAS!' | | Strengths:
Take all the strengths of Gas and petrol stoves, mix them up and this is what you get. Light and compact, will fit in any spare pocket or corner of your rucksack, tackle bag etc.

UK price is a bit OTT[Update 12/03/06] As Sean says, in certain conditions you need the wind shield especially when pre-heating the jet but once it's set up you're well away, a trivial matter that I didn't deem worthy of mentioning. As you can see, Sean rates the stove higher than I do, even with the small criticism. | | Overall:
After recently doing an overnighter in sub-zero temps' and trying and failing to boil a kettle and cook some food on my gas stove, I was fortunate that my fishing buddy for the session had with him the <a href=http://www.msrcorp.com/stoves/dragonfly.asp target=blank>Dragonfly multi fuel</A>.
This burns; petrol, naptha (white gas), diesel and kerosene (parrafin).
I was, for sometime, thinking about buying a Coleman but was put off because of filling up on the bank, I don't like the idea of petrol/smell on my hands while fishing, with the dragonfly there's none of this, just fill the bottles you think you'll need before you go and with a bit of care on the bank you're refuelled with no mess. There's a few stoves in the range, but the Dragonflys' flame is fully adjustable from a nice simmer when cooking your food to a full on blast furnace (turn your alarms up) when making a brew.
Not the cheapest at over £100, but I got one off ebay for £68 with a full maintenance kit and a few spares, I did however get very lucky, but I would, after having seen them in use have paid the full RRP. |

| 'MULTI-FUEL STOVE THAT BOILS WATER RAPIDLY. ' | | Strengths:
Unlike the Coleman stoves the jet on this stove does not clog up when used with unleaded petrol. It boils water very rapidly and has a reliable simmer. | | Weaknesses:
A bit fiddly to put up as you need to use the heatshield and the windshield for best results.
It can be a little tricky to get going in windy conditions, but practice soon makes perfect.
It needs a bit more space than the Coleman stoves due to the seperate fuel bottle | | Overall:

Seriously though, I've used this stove for 4 years now and I can back up everything Bob says in his review. The stove has performed flawlessly in some very dicey conditions and it is always one of the first things I pack on a trip. |
