'EXCELLENT ROD FOR SOMEONE STARTING OUT SALMON FISHING'
Strengths:
6 piece so very portable
Light rod compared so easier to get started with
Lifetime Warranty
Good construction, but then again it's Greys so what more would you expect

[Update 23/05/06] This is to test the update your review facility

Weaknesses:
Not strong enough to handle more than a floating line
Overall:
Bought this rod blind so didn't know what I was letting myself in for but having played with it for a day, I am more than happy with it.
It has a nice progressive action which is excellent for a starter to salmon fishing allowing you plenty of time to make an overhead cast, single spey or double spey.
The rod is light compared to others on the market so doesn't tire you out after a days casting however this limits the rod to only being able to handle a floating line. This isn't a problem for a beginner as you can add an intermediate or sinking leader to help you get your fly down to the bottom, however if you're a progressing salmon angler, you'd soon outgrow this rod.
Used it for a day and was still casting as well at the end of the day as I was at the start.
Also, I picked my rod up for £100 as it is "end of range" so was being sold off.
