| 'VERT EFFICIENT TACKLEBOX' | | Strengths: Incredibly well organised tackle box, quite compact but like Dr Who’s tardis seems to be bigger on the inside than outside. Well constructed more than capable of taking a knock or two, even though mine was delivered in a state looking like it had been driven over by a bus its remained sturdy for well over a year being nothing short of abused in my service. Compartments (which mini boxes fit into) is perfect size to accommodate dinsmaur bulk shot dispenser)
| | Weaknesses: Limited room for things like scissors, had to change my original choppers for a smaller pair but that’s hardly a weakness, I’m just trying to be thorough. Line dispensers all come in 1 hole size none being designed for PVA string or silicon tubing type things, though that’s hardly a problem just widen the hole was my solution.
| | Overall: Overall when I 1st got my smartbox I was at a loss, there didn’t seem to be enough room for most of my ‘bits and bobs’ after rearranging my tackle a little and utilising all the various compartments etc, the smart box seems to consume far more of my tackle into itself than I believed possible my previous far bulkier tackle box seemed to be overflowing the same bits in the smartbox worked,, somehow. A great piece of kit, if I should accidentally put a hammer through the side of my existing smartbox or somehow find it on a fire (not going to happen) I wouldn’t hesitate in replacing it with another one, I really do put my smartbox through hell it ‘serves’ me and I don’t treat it like royalty by any stretch of the imagination and it just works, doesn’t let the chub brand name down in the slightest.
Overall physical dimensions = 11.2x9.5x2.2inches |

| 'A WELL DESIGNED AND LAID OUT TACKLE BOX' | | Strengths: Nice design, plenty of storage containers, the one touch system is simple and easy to use so everything is easy to get at. The lid lies flat when the box is open, making a useful tray when your tieing rigs.
Middle box compartment is exactly the right size to fit a dinsmores splitshot selection box. | | Weaknesses: It's made of fairly brittle plastic. I've seen two boxes where the lid rim had chipped in exactly the same place on each one. | | Overall: I really like this box, it's much easier to keep things organised with it. The spool dispensers work well and the inner boxes and compartments are well designed.
I've given it good value, I got mine for £25, I'd mark that down at the full price of £44.99 which is a bit steep for what it is. |
