    'FEEBLE'
    Strengths:
    nice name
    Weaknesses:
    yes i was weak , i purchased some .
    Overall:
no confidence in this line , i used for 4 months last year and probably had more break offs than in my entire fishing life .
    horrid stuff

    'NOT BAD, AT FIRST'
    Strengths:
Seems to do just as it says, at first, limp, very strong, 1600 yards on a spool (only paid 9 quid for mine) Was initially impressed.
    Weaknesses:
Seems to have a limited life as after maybe a month of fishing a couple of times a week, has inherited a wirey/springey property which is causing unnecessary tangles and probably fouling my presentation somewhat.
    Overall:
Have used for a couple of months, generally for margin fishing lift rigs, laying on and floater fishing.
All I can say is its a good job there is so much on the spool as I feel this may need changing quite regularly.
A great pity really as initially I was very impressed.

    '15 QUID DOWN THE DRAIN,'
    Strengths:
    erm...no....can't think of any
    Weaknesses:
may have been old when i brought mine, but soft it ain't. very springy straight from loading needed to use 3oz plus just to take the kinks out.
    Overall:
I've always been impressed with Fox gear, but the soft steel was is a huge let down, and £15 is a lot of money to go in the bin

    'LOVE AFFAIR OVER!!'
    Strengths:
Theres no doubt about its actual strength. Drag a boat out the harbour this stuff. very good wet knot strength. Nice colour and easy to knot.
    Weaknesses:
Goes springy and curly after a while, but this does not affect its strength. The main problem is that in the dark it can get caught around your rod tip and hamper casting.
    Overall:
Originally very impressed, but probably wont buy any more due to the kinking of the line. Another hit and miss product from the Fox stable and probably wont be the last.

    'RUBBISH'
    Strengths:
    none
    Weaknesses:
Very weak line. Had a 2lb lighter hooklength attached to the Fox line and on the 3 occasions i got snagged the Fox line broke. PLUS lots of memory.
    Overall:
    Stay away, absolute crap

    'LIGHT VERSIONS BETTER, PERHAPS?'
    Strengths:
Like it says: supple, strong and abrasion resistant.
    Weaknesses:
Rerquires careful knot-tying, but then so do most modern monos.
    Overall:
I've only used the 6lb version (classed as Specimen Soft Steel, I believe), and this for pier/jetty fishing for mullet in salt water.

I had it on my reel for a whole summer, and saw no deterioration or change of character. It landed powerful fish in some "hairy" situations, too.
