Description: This Fox 7 strand steel wire is extremely low in diameter and very supple. It is superb for home made traces and is very kink resistant. The 20lb wire is recommended for close range work using through action rods. The 30lb wire is ideal for heavy duty situations where more powerful rods are in use.

'AVOID THE 20LBS LIKE THE PLAGUE...'

Strengths:
The 30's a good all-round wire which is finer than other seven-strands.

The 20's a kinking nightmare - tried it for zander and literally had to change trace after every fish.

Weaknesses:
Stick to the 30lbs

'30LB GOOD ALL ROUND WIRE'

Strengths:
High strength
very easy to use
I dont use anything else for bait fishing

Weaknesses:
none

Overall:
Very good wire which I have used for years, have never had it break in a normal fishing situation.
You wont go far wrong by changing to this
