| '`NOT JUST A BARBEL ROD`' | | Strengths: The 1.75TC can handle most flood conditions with ease and is very capable of casting a small method a good distance on still waters. It also has a lovely through action from tip to butt which comes in to its own when playing hard fighting fish close to the net. | | Weaknesses: None | | Overall: I own two of these rods and have played big barbel in flooded conditions on the river ribble, big carp and tench on still waters.......No complaints!!!! |

| 'GOOD ALL ROUNDER' | | Strengths: Great as a method feeder rod.Long range or weedy water for tench and bream,or you could even use it for Barbel! | | Weaknesses: The keeper ring is rubbish, mine fell apart after 2 trips! Lost the bit you put the hook through | | Overall: A nice rod, great action and plenty of feeling through the blank.Price seems to be about £90 in most places, which is pretty good.I used mine for on the Method, and later to freeline mixers at Thorpe Lea recently. It took both in its stride, ctaching low doubles that fought like fury |

| 'VERY GOOD ROD.' | | Strengths: Good finish, good through action, ideally suited to big barbel. | | Weaknesses: Keeper ring got knocked off fairly quickly. | | Overall: A very good rod which does exactly what it 'says on the tin'. I've used it extensively for three years barbelling and its handled everything without a hitch including a fair few doubles. |

| 'PULLED A 12LBER OUT FROM UNDER A TREE WITH ONE' | | Strengths: Nice action. Firm in all the right places but sensitive when you need it! | | Weaknesses: Keeper rings are vulnerable to snapping off. Single leg rings are not to everyone's tastes. | | Overall: Good rod for the price. Shop around, don't pay top whack and you won't be disappointed |

| 'GOING TO GET ANOTHER ONE' | | Strengths: Handled a double figure Barbel on the Severn with ease. Used it for fishing the Method for tench and carp. It casts well and absorbs the lunges beautifully. Usual Fox quality. | | Weaknesses: Yet to try with a big fish on a flooded Severn, should cope well. Overpriced initially but good deals are available now. | | Overall: I really like this rod and intend getting another. Can be used in a variety of situations including floatfishing. Quiver tip is softer than the avon top. |
