Strengths: Cheap, solidly made, revolves very freely, good for trotting, and the side cast facility comes in handy if you need to get your float out a few extra yards.
Weaknesses: On the heavy side, and although it has a lock, there is no ratchet which means you can't really use it for legering.
Overall: If you are thinking of buying a 'pin but are on a budget and don't want to a chance on ebay, then go for this. Solidly made, revolves very freely, and 'does what it says it does on the tin'. No fiddly bits, nothing to get clogged with grit or old groundbait and low maintenance. Will win no design prizes, but it does the job.
