'ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.'
Strengths:
Strong frame. Good finish, paintwork is durable. Comes supplied with a curly grub tail and stinger hook. Casts well.
Weaknesses:
Needs to b cranked in fast all the time to keep it clear of the bottom. which is very tiring. I tried on both a fixed spool and bait caster set up and found it very difficullt to keep the Destroyer clear of the bottom.
Overall:
I really enjoy using spinnerbaits and have caught many Pike using them.
I was looking for a larger spinnerbait to use, and the destroyer filled the size and weight gap that I was looking to fill.
The destroyer comes as standard with a large willow blade fitted to the top of the frame. I fished it in 15-18 feet of water, with it banging the bottom all the time. it would probably be a good trolling spinnerbait, but for casting work the top blade really needs to be a suitable sized Colorado blade. which would give it more lift, and give the angler the opportunity to flutter it down during the retrieve.
