'WALNUT'S'
Strengths:
Fast to put up and take down once you get it sussed.Quite warm and draught free.Mozzie screen good for summer. No other kit other than peg's to carry.Just the right size.
Weaknesses:
Thin material, mine's only 2 season's old and leak's.the material lost is waterproofing and is like a tea bag in prolonged rain.Noisy in the wind and pole's bend alot in high wind giving the impression of being in a washing machine.Groundsheet has holes worn through it.
Overall:
Great design let down by poor material's.Ok for occasional use but dont expect a long life span.Hard to sleep in windy conditions due to bivvy bending all over the place. If only it was better built it would be very good value,as it is better products can be bought for less.

'BEST BIVVY BY FAR!'
Strengths:
easy to put up, very stable and a good size in the one man size
Weaknesses:
Sometimes the joints turn round and the porch flaps could do with being a bit longer
Overall:
I've had loads of bivvies but this one is the best of the lot. Its so easy to put up its a joke and when you go on short sessions that can make all the difference.

'LIGHT AND EASY TO PUT UP'
Strengths:
It is very roomy
easy to errect
with bedchair and bags inside it should not blow away as it is stable when pegged down
Weaknesses:
undoing the knuckle joints in the rain is difficult as they seem very tight
Looks as if it may need regular waterproofing
Overall:
Used it in the middle of Dartmoor in mist and rain and it stood up bery well in 24 hour match

'GOOD BUT WITH SOME RESERVATIONS.'
Strengths:
Easy to erect. Fast and simple but do ensure the centre boss does not snag the material. Enough room inside and zips take a beta light. Handy pockets where you need them, survived a bad storm without any issues.
Weaknesses:
Feels light and a bit flimsy. Rattles a bit in the wind. You must buy the separate ground sheet as the built in one is very thin and likely to rip. Very weak and flimsy carry bag and the whole thing is a bit bulky.
Overall:
Its good but could be better. Stronger grounsheet and 5000 hydrostatic material would make this unbeatable. Im not sure if it will last more than a few seasons. The ease of use is its best feature the thing is up in minutes and for one night stands ( ahem.. ) it is very very good.

'EASY TO ERECT, BUT WON'T LAST TOO LONG!'
Strengths:
Speed of erection, compact size- when packed (fits easily into a quiver). Encourages you to move swims- ie this takes a few minutes. The extra groundsheet is absolutely essential, both to kep you warm, and to allow mud free dismantling of the bivvy.
Weaknesses:
Will lose waterproofing fairly quickly, if it gets muddy and soil gets grounds in. A major weakness is the central boss and adjacent bivvy material. Watch out for this- if you are in a rush, ie when changing swims, and get a small fragment of material in this when putting the thing up, the apex of the dome will rip rather alarmingly. Always place your hand under the central boss when splaying the arms out. Not a real problem, but tears will expand- usually in a storm..... I'm also a bit concerned about using this bivvy in a gale, it rattles a bit, and being lightweight, can actually take off, which is a bit disconcerting, if you are outside, in the middle of the night, playing a fish!
Overall:
Despite a few shortcomings ( the problem with the central boss, and the rapidly diminishing waterproof properties of the outer skin), this is an excellent bivvy for the mobile/short stay angler- the speed of erection issue has to be the best feature- I reckon that I can get it up in less than 2 minutes (Ooer missus!). Don't expect it to last more than 2-3 seasons use though!
