'FIRST CLASS FOR DISTANCE,USER FRIENDLY.'

Strengths:
Finely balanced and easy to tune to meet personal requirements.

Weaknesses:
never liked the lumpy handles as they make my fingers ache after a long retrieve.

Overall:
Superb, have been using for many years and have never had a problem.

'THESE REELS ARE BRILLIANTLY ENGINEERED'

Strengths:
TO MAKE A 200 YARD CAST THE SPOOL NEEDS TO MOVE FROM 0 TO 20,000 RPM THESE REELS DO THAT WITH EASE.YES YOU READ IT RIGHT TWENTY THOUSAND RPM.MAGNETS FIBRE AND MECHANICAL BRAKING ELIMINATES OVER RUNS IF SET CORRECTLY AND THE BEARINGS OILED WITH CORRECT OIL.

Weaknesses:
ANY RACING CAR HAS ITS WEAKNESSES,IF YOU USE THIS ON THE BEACH STRIP IT DOWN AND CLEAN IT OR IT WILL RUST.CANNOT TAKE IT APART WHILST FISHING.NOT FOR NOVICES.

Overall:
IVE READ THE COMMENTS OF OTHER REVIEWS AND PERSONALLY DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THESE REELS ARE GETTING LESS THAN 90% IN ALL CATAGORIES ANY BEACH ANGLER WORTH HIS SALT(PARDON THE PUN)WILL TELL YOU THERE IS NOT A REEL TO TOUCH THEM FOR SURF CASTING.CHECK OUT THE NEW HIGH SPEED VERSION ITS TOUGHER AND FASTER RETRIEVE.

'VERY GOOD'

Strengths:
Easy service, adjustment easy, adapts to beach or pike fishing, suitable for small hands.

Weaknesses:
After beach you must clean and lube thoroughly or the sand will destroy innards.

Overall:
To keep the reel in top working order you have to spray WD40 after fresh water, additionally spray rinse with fresh after saltwater, it is flawless otherwise. I have six Ambassadeurs'.
