'A classic big barbel rod for snags and flooded waters'
Strengths:
This is a Harrison rod, which says enough for anyone. Just the one strong top, but one that will give a good fight out of a 4lb-er as well as a 20lb (I hope). The handle is nicely shaped incorporating the Fuji, Duplon fore and aft, screw-down reel fitting. Triple legged rings - beautiful!!
Weaknesses:
The Fuji reel seat is a little on the small side and may prevent the immediate use of some centre-pins. However, either the reel can be modified or in some cases the manufacturer can provide a smaller foot for the reel. Other than that - none.
Overall:
It has an ideal length of 11' 6" and even the handle is not too long. The overall appearance is of a slim, hard-fighting rod capable of tackling any barbel that swims. There is even a keep-ring fitted for when you are roving. Buying one of these would be the best £150 investment of your life.

'SNAG FISHING BARBEL ROD.'
Strengths:
Well made and excellent finish. Harrisons make excellent blanks and this is no exception. Not a poker and allows you to feel the fish. Can also be used as a methord ros if after bream and tench.
Weaknesses:
None that I can find.
Overall:
Well worth the money. This is a rod that you can use with total confidence. Will stop any barbel in its tracks if used correctly with balanced tackle.

'THE TRENT BARBEL ROD'
Strengths:
Extremely powerful. Capable of casting leads uo to 5 oz with ease which are sometimes require on waters like the Tidal Trent. A through action that makes mediun sized barbel a pleasure to play.

Superb cosmetics and a top notch Fuji down locking reel seat. No marks and scrapes from gripping screw thread here.

Top quality build in the Harrison tradition with the best line guides currently available. The right length for a rod designed to handle big fish
Weaknesses:
Absolutely none.
Overall:
Here is a rod that not only is an ideal tool for tackling the biggest barbel on the biggest rivers, but can be used for all sorts of other fishing. It will land the biggest carp that swims. It is an ideal pike and zander rod in the fens.

More than anything else, it feels right.

'NOT JUST A SUPER BARBEL ROD'
Strengths:
This rod is built to a high standard capable of handling more than just barbel and doubles up as an excellent margin rod for carp. The test curve rating is around the 1lb 14oz mark. The rod fills stiff when you first handle it but the top 3rd has just the right amount of give to show those renching bites, and the middle to bottom sections blend in with increase strength second to none with other rods in the barbel catogery.
Good quality part cork/duplon handle.
Oh and you get a free iostobe adaptor.
Weaknesses:
The reel seat is a little small ( fuji size 16 ) for my liking but apart from this none I can find.
Overall:
This is as good as they come and for £150 which is good price to pay for a rod capable of many years fishing no matter what you throw at it.
