'A BIG LET DOWN'
Strengths:
None really, fairly comfortable, but then I expect all my footwear to be comfortable...
Weaknesses:
They do not keep you warm. Upper is not waterproof.
Rubber has cracked on boot.
Overall:
Over-hyped and overpriced. I got these boots for mobile winter fishing. From the first they have not kept my feet warm. I've spent a fortune on hi spec socks, from mountaineering ones to fleece lined neoprenes in an attempt to have warm feet with these boots. I've even had cold feet night fishing in the summer in them. They are rubbish! Skeetex should be ashamed to keep on selling them under the impression that they will keep your feet warm in sub zero temperatures. I now use them for mild weather only.

'TOO HEAVY NOT WARM!!'
Strengths:
Built to last
Weaknesses:
uncomfortable to walk in and not warm enough
Overall:
Doesn't do what it says on the tin. I'm quite a mobile angler and walking a couple of miles leapfrogging swims is something i do sometimes. Anyone who has tried this in thermal wellies will tell you this is hard going.Got these to ease the walk and keep me warm.It does neither.

'COLD FEET'
Strengths:
Good water resistant boots but only for warmer weather. Better for walking any distance than Skee-Tex Essex Boots.
Weaknesses:
These boots don't keep your feet warm, even when the weather is not freezing. The cold ground comes through the soles. The insulation is thinner and poorer quality than Skee-Tex Field boots or Skee-Tex Essex boots.
Overall:
Advertising as "Warm feet are guaranteed to below -30°C" is misleading as they are nowhere near as good as this leads you to believe. Some of the other reviews in this category appear to be on different types of Skee-Tex boots. I have had a pair of the original and very good Skee-Text 'moon boots' for many years but I'm very disappointed with the Skee-Tex Super Boots.

'SUMMER BOOTS ONLY!'
Strengths:
Excellent summer boots, thermal properties not being quite as described has its advantages, even in warm conditions feet will feel reasonably cool and wont overheat much.
Excellent for walking in, not much different to some half decent walking boots in this respect.
Weaknesses:
Rubbish insulation, (anything under 3 degrees C = very painfully cold feet and I’m young and healthy with no cold feet problems as a rule)
Rubbish quality manufacture, Within 6 months the rubber just bellow the leather at the back of the hell split right through, other signs of rubber perishing have appeared all over the top front and sides of both boots within this time period.
98% waterproof in English means you only let 2% as much water onto your feet as plodging bare foot, i.e. not waterproof at all beyond rubber bottoms.
Overall:
If you're looking for some winter footwear, do yourself a favour avoid these like you would a pair of wooden clogs, within a few days of having bought these boots I was sitting on the bank in probably 3 to 5 degrees C, wearing highly recommended bridgedale summit socks, and I kept telling myself, no I can’t possibly have cold feet, as the evening went on I DID have cold feet something that became more and more an issue as the winter went on.

Within 6 months the rubber at the back of the heel had completely split and various points around the front top of the boot were showing serious signs of rubber perish, I can’t help but feel that ‘some’ of the reviews on this site as well as by skee-tex are nothing but scandalous nonsense, these boots are atrocious for cold weather use! To describe them as all season is a blatant lie, if temperatures go bellow 0 degrees C regardless of what high tech sock wear you try to use you will still end up with very cold feet these boots are NOT Skee-tex Fieldboots, the whole advertising of these boot thermal liners is scandalous the fieldboot liners are far more substantial to describe the superboots liners as being ‘constructed the same’ is a bare faced lie, aluminium is only thermally effective when it’s reflective in a blackened form as found in these boots liners it acts as a heat sync, taking heat AWAY from your feet not insulating (basic science aluminium conducts heat 100x faster than solid ice!)

My above rant may seem harsh but an entire winter fishing a northern spate river with cold feet tends to do that to a person, I bought these boots based on reviews above, after having lived through the superboot nightmare for 1 year now I feel obliged to inform anyone willing to listen/read that the ‘positive’ reviews in my opinion are based on the ‘Fieldboots’ not the ‘Superboots’ as thermally these are a utter joke in anything that is remotely cold, I feel whoever made the claim they are good to -30 degrees C should be made to wear these boots and see how long they last at half that! Then post the photos as they have to have their frostbitten toes cut off!.

'ABOVE AVERAGE'
Strengths:
very warm when waring and comfortable
Weaknesses:
liners where out quickly on heels and you must order a size larger. even then they are not easy to slip on at night in the middle of a run>
Overall:
A warm and comfortable hard wearing wellie that has good thermal qualities in the winter, linings are to warm in the summer and for winter fishing at night i need to take out the liners to get my feet into them quickly, all in all my favorite boot but could take me at least ten seconds to put on at night in the middle of a run with the linners in.

'VERY SATISFIED'
Strengths:
Really warm, lightweight, super grip in wet weather.
Weaknesses:
I do alot of roving and found the laces do become loose after a while, the top half of the boot could be a little more supple
Overall:
A great boot for the angler who suffers with cold feet, reasonably comfortable even walking long distances, better than wellies.

'Lightweight comfy warm.'
Strengths:
At last the boot I have been after for years. These boots replace a very old and tatty pair of 'proper' walking boots that came as close to the ideal roving anglers winter boot. They are very lightweight and comfortable. The removable inner is easy to get on and off and suprisingly easy to put in the boot. The rubber lower half is waterproof and they even look good enough to wear to my lads football. Imagine doing that in a pair of Camo boots.
Yes yes yes! They do size 12/13 for people with proper sized feet. Cheaper than 4x4 boots which I did aspire to before these came along.
Weaknesses:
The laces are done up with what I believe are called crochet type eyes, hooks if you like. These need re-tying periodically as the laces do loosen and can put you on your face if trod on!
Overall:
Perfect if you like to wander river banks or lakes without the need to wade. I have sat out in a couple of night frosts without cold tootsies and you don't suffer with trousers soaked in sweat associated with thermal moon boots. The rubber lower part is easy to clean off. When paired up with Bridgedale socks my feet have been totally dry on arriving back at the car which suggests some degree of breathability but the boot is not marketed as breathable. Will I have problems getting replacement inner socks? Time will tell.

'ABOUT TIME'
Strengths:
Comfy, warm, easy to walk in, good grip.
Weaknesses:
None yet.
Overall:
I have been looking for a decent pair of field type boots, and have tried many, all were useless. I'm diabetic, so i need good footware, and these are the dogs.
