'VERY GOOD ALL ROUND ROD '

Strengths:
nice action plenty of power in the middle butt nicely balanced

Weaknesses:
none really

Overall:
very nice trotting rod to use the line runs through the rings very smoothly they are a nice size on the top section not too small as you find on a lot of match rods nice for roach,dace,also at home with good size chubb handles carp well you can feel the fish through the action of the rod..still worth buying one if you can get hold of one balances nicely with a small msg reel got mine for £69.99 from mallarkies

'BOUGHT THIS ROD FOR £69.99 PICKERINGS OF BURSLEM FANTASTIC '

Strengths:
quality product still worth the full list of £169 crisp pick up when trotting with centrepin for chub and grayling, also waggler fished for carp to 8lb handles them fantastic. Hook lengths 1 1/2 lb to straight through with 6lb no problems

Weaknesses:
could do with one extra ring on butt section , would be better in particular when using centrepin

Best trotting/waggler rod i have ever owned superb kit

'BADLY LET DOWN BY ABU SERVICE DEPARTMENT.'

Strengths:
Gorgeous action, extremely sensitive for roach and the like yet with tremendous amounts of power in reserve.

[Update 02/04/06] This is a fantastic rod providing you don't have any problems with it because if you need to replace a section you are bang out of luck.

Weaknesses:
Not cheap!

Overall:
I was lucky enough to pick up a brand new one of these for £140 and it has possibly been the best purchase I've made. It has an incredible feel when playing fish no matter what size. A joy to use, and it's not bad looking either!

[Update 02/04/06] UPDATE: I have snapped the tip on my suveran now and have tried to get a replacement for it only to be told by a very uninterested gent in the ABU service department that "we only do full rods" and that they carry no spares. In a rod that is still in production and usually retails at £200 I think this is absolutely woeful. Apparently it's a common problem as well so if you want a rod with good after sales service avoid ABU. If anyone else has experienced similar please send me an email.

'SUPERB BIT OF KIT. STILL!'

Strengths:
sensitive enough for silver fish and can handle 8lb carp nice handle that actualy fits hands without twisting reel seat is angled so reel points to 1st ring i.e. better casting titanium lined rings and very sexy graphics in a nutshell WICKED!

[Update 25/02/06] This rod is still as good today as it was two years ago

Weaknesses:
Rod bag could be better quality

If you want a decent match rod that is adream to just hold never mind use look no further

[Update 25/02/06] This rod has performed brilliantly time after time and the short butt length is now somthing i realy like.
This is TRULY a great match rod no doubt about it.
