| 'NOT UP TO THE HYPE' | | Strengths: None really | | Weaknesses: Diameters out by 0.02mm on average to what is stated on ALL diameters. Knot strength is not the best. Twists badly. | | Overall: Have tried Powerline on & off for the past 5 years and never got on with it. Diameters are constantly out to what is claimed (when you are buying a low diameter line it should be as accurate as possible as the Garbolino, Shimano Silk Shock Antares, Sensas Feeling, etc all are). Breaking strains look good on PAPER but that is it as the breaking strains are determined on the non-stated increased diameter. There are much better lines on the market for the same or less money. Avoid if you want a reliable & true low diameter line. |

| 'STRONG AND RELIABLE' | | Strengths: stronger than claimed, knots well if you lubricate before tightening coils, consistent diameter, good colour. | | Weaknesses: Not found any | | Overall: An excellent, reliable line that is used by many top match anglers who are not mugs when money and prizes are involved. Been using it for two years and have had no problems at all. |

| 'GREAT HOOK LENGTH AND POLE LINE' | | Strengths: I use mine for all my pole fishing through the ranges. I have found it to be very reliable and when balanced with the elastic has landed me some surprisingly big fish. Low diameter and yet very strong. Like Andy my main use is a hook length whilst stick float fishing on which i have landed 5lb chub on the low breaking strains. | | Weaknesses: Not that easy to get out of the packet! I do change my hooklengths once or twice in a days roving. I wouldn't personally use as a main line i feel it would twist and not really up to that job. | | Overall: I was really surprised to read andy's review and from my experience of using wonder whether you have a dodgy batch? Does that happen in this day and age? Will continue to use and have confidence in it. |

| 'COMPLETE RUBBISH!' | | Strengths: Fine diameter, looks good before use. | | Weaknesses: Everything, its Twists badly, has little stretch and snaps easy after only an hour or so. | | Overall: I was recommended this line by my local tackle shop!I have been using it as a bottom line when fishing the stick float on the Ribble. Maybe this is the wrong application for this line, as the line twists up easy when fishing double maggot. I was never confident when I had a decent Chub or Barbel on! |

| 'NICE SILKY LINE, GREAT FOR POLE WORK' | | Strengths: This line is very silky to touch and is reliable. Its perfect for pole use as main line and hook length. Its nice and clear too. Stretches alot compared to some other lines. | | Weaknesses: You need to take your time while you tie knots as its easy to find your knot has movement if not pulled correctly. Due to its thinness and stretch it can act like a knifes edge if to much pressure is applied. | | Overall: A very nice line that does what so many others do. Not checked diameter's but it is a strong, supple, silky, clear line. Just watch your knots you tie. |

| 'I WONT BE BUYING ANY MORE' | | Strengths: Nice neutral colour, very soft/supple | | Weaknesses: I have not measured it but it seems thicker than claimed | | Overall: I bought a spool of this in 0.15mm wich had a rating of about 5lb (not sure as i dont have it to hand). When I got it home and compared it to 0.16mm bayer Im sure it seemed thicker.
As the previous reviewer has said, I found it didnt knot very well, so bad that the first hook I tied with it, a spade end, un-did itself under no pressure. I cast out and when I reeled in was just left with a pigtail on the end of the line.
I know line preferences are very much a personal thing, probably more so than any other item of tackle, and I have read many top match anglers rating this line, but I have not taken to it after one bad experience and would never have confidence in it again.

| 'STRONG LINE' | | Strengths: a strong and supple line | | Weaknesses: 0.15 mm is in reality 0.17 to 0.173, but this mispresentation is not uncommon. Breakingstrain however is heavily exaggerated: 5 lb 14 oz is in reality 3,5 to 3,7 lb. (no knot braekings) The line is very slick and therefore prone to slip on the knot. You have to tie it very well and precise, better use glue. This line refused to sink, even when treated with soap. Can be an advantage as wel as a disadvantage. | | Overall: My poor value rating is based on Dutch retailprices: € 8,25 for 100 meters (110 Yds) |

| 'THE BEST ONE I HAVE USED' | | Strengths: Strong ,but not brittle | | Weaknesses: It is thicker than the stated diameter, the 0.15 is nearer 0.17 | | Overall: The only line I have found 100 per cent reliable on the pole and the running line.I met a Barbel angler that was using the highest breaking strain as a mainline with no problems.Good stretch and abrasion resistance.Fair price for 100m |
