Strengths: Well designed & manufactured Weaknesses: Spare spools a ridiculous price, compared with similar specs from other manufacturers Overall: The over-price of the spools is reflected in the fact that none of the usual outlets now stocks the reel, or the spools. They have disappeared from the market.   Performance   80% Quality   60% Value   40% Overall Rating   60%   Ron Troversial Clay   Posted: 16/03/04 'A British large arbour reel at a fair price' Strengths: Lightweight with a large capacity. Mine can take a full 7 weight line plus 100 yards of backing. Drag is very smooth. Excellent value for money. Weaknesses: As purchased, spare spools were quite expensive at over £20 each. Overall: I bought this reel a few years ago. Since then BFR have brought out a similar model with a cassette system where the spools are much cheaper. BFR have alway been at the top when it comes to innovations. The prices have always been very competitive.
