'IF THEY WERE TWICE THE PRICE THEY WOULD STILL BE THE BEST!!!'
Strengths:
I have 2 x Carp, 1 x Match, 1 x Feeder and 1 x Telescopic Enticers and they are all good all-rounders. Casting accuracy, feel/balance and fish play just can't be beaten.
Weaknesses:
They last too long. My Carp rods are approx. 9 years old.
Overall:
What more can be said...Brilliant!!

'I WISH I'D FOUND THIS ROD YEARS AGO !'
Strengths:
I bought this one at a boot sale in Kent in 2006, I was there on holiday and I got carried away. This is the burgundy model as described by John, and it was new, untouched by human hand I'd say.......well it still had the plastic wrapper on the cork handle. I find it great for all general float fishing, and I caught a 7lb 8 ounce carp on it a few weeks back, boy did it give me the runaround, in the rushes, in the bushes, and eventually in the lily pads. All of this it took in it's stride.......all in all a great rod, especially for the price....I paid £22.
Weaknesses:
Can't find any !
Overall:
As I said, good value for money, and a rod in which I have full confidence.

'A BRILLIANT BEGINNER'S ROD THAT WILL LAST FOR YEARS'
Strengths:
This is the newer blue blank with some cross-weaving in it. It's a very well-made item especially for the price (c£34) and the rings will even cope with braid should you wish to use it. I bought one for my grandson and he has had a carp on it of 10lbs, caught on 4lbs line (quite by accident, but who cares). So it's extremely strong and yet quite forgiving.
Weaknesses:
Only problem I have is with the single-legged rings, but then I have a problem with £150 rods that have single-legged rings. Fortunately, the ones on this rod are still fine as it's been well looked after.
Overall:
If someone is stuck on a low budget, they couldn't do much better than to start with one of these rods. They are quite superb in use and even someone with a lot of more expensive quality tackle would not feel out of place with it. The beauty of this model is, they make a 10' model too which could be very useful in very tight swims with overhanging branches or on a small boat. Just feel the lightness for yourself and compare it to a lot of the competition. This rod will definitely NOT let you down.

'CHEAP, HIGH QUALITY MATCH ROD'
Strengths:
very soft tip which comes in handy when battling small fish during matches.
i lost far less fish with this rod than my last match rod.
Weaknesses:
its only a personal thing but i would of prefered a longer butt.
Overall:
the best rod available under £30, if you want a cheap match rod that will preform well this is your rod.

'Too good to miss'
Strengths:
The price is just unbelievable, it is new stock on sale at the North West Angling Centre, made of carbon fibre with lined rings on a deep burgundy blank. Part eva & part cork handle with a Fuji screw down reel fitting. 2 to 6lb main lines recommended. Also available in an 11' version. Supplied in a strong canvas rod bag.
Overall:
At this price you might expect rubbish, but that would not fit in with the Abu brand, Ok it is a budget price but it cannot be faulted and must be the number one rod in the budget market.
