 | Average Rating: 4 out of 5 No. of Reviews: 3 RRP: £2 Year: 2002 - 2006 Description: The most advancedmethod feeder ever produced. The aerodynamic shape and leadplacing ensures that the feeder casts well and always landsthe correct way up, placing your hookbait in the correctposition, every time.Developed from AndyFinlay's original hand-made feeders, the Carp Feeder isideal for match sized carp on heavily-stocked commercialfisheries, and is designed for fishing your hookbait justunder the surface of your groundbait. The elastic acts as a shock absorber and preventsunnecessaryhook pulls close to the net. This feeder is the firstchoice of match and pleasure anglers all over the countryand works on all carp venues. Sizesavailable:Small & LargeAvailable with medium or heavy elastic.

 | | | Posted: 28/10/07 | | 'A GOOD IDEA BUT SOMEWHAT FLAWED.' | | Strengths: Easy to use, flys well and does the job. | | Weaknesses: The plastic stem, while strong enough to hold any fish is nevertheless a bit brittle and can be broken in the tackle box rendering it useless (mine got snapped in a fox box when the lid trapped it over a divider). Also the eye at the end of the same stem is a little small making it a fiddle to attach to even a small link swivel, in an effort to overcome this I added a small split ring which worked fine until eventually I got a run from a decent fish and it went slack, winding in revealed just the split ring, so it must have snapped the plastic eye, obviously leaving the feeder hooked to the fish, which hopefully will manage to dislodge it (barbless hook). I was very dissapointed with this event, especially for the fishes sake.
An improvement would be a stainless stem with a better eye. | | Overall: As a system, especially used in Andy Finlays style this is an excellent feeder flawed by a rather poor design in the stem, with that improved it would be a 10/10 product, as it is I can only give it 5/10 |
