Quite heavy. |  | Overall: A decent well made reel, it's strongly built (Though that means it's not the lightest reel out there). The clutch performs well enough, it casts well, has good aluminium spools and a good line clip. In use the reel feels smooth and well engineered.
The line lay tends to bulk the line towards the top rim of the spool, though it's not a major problem I expected better from a Shimano. That said, it's line lay doesn't impact the use of the reel in any way and is more of a cosmetic concern than anything else.
While I'm satisfied with the reel, I don't think I'd buy another one. It's made of metal so very cold on the hands fishing at winter or at night, and like i said, the line lay niggles me. |
