'Not bad as company on family hols.'
Strengths:
Price is not bad for build quality.
Forgiving action for the beginner.
Weaknesses:
Soft action and lacks power with heavy flies.
Too long for standard XL suitcases and roller holdalls.
Overall:
A good rod for the very occasional pike or saltwater fly angler, more an 8 than 9 weight. A very good spare/back up if you are going away on a saltwater destination holiday.
Struggled with a mouserat, and could not hand my bigger pike flies at all. However it has put some UK saltwater fish and some highland pike on the bank.
