Strengths: drennan's own products, flawlessly tied.hassle free rig construction
Weaknesses: ready tied.
Overall: i use drennan pole floats for the majority of my pole fishing, drennan don't do crap.possibly the ultimate hook pattern for finicky fish-the carbon barbless is used to full effect.the rig line and hooklength is flawless. normally i buy floats and rig them up myself with a dosapiombo and use the rig line and hook line to my own preferance, however on this occasion my wife bought me a handfull for crimbo as she couldn't think what to get me.i'm normally sceptical about using pre tied rigs as if there is a problem with the rig i want it to be my fault,if i'm about to net the roach of a lifetime and the rig give then it's down to some one working in a sweat shop and their fault, like i say i like to do my own and blame myself.that said the whipping on the hook is excellent and the overhand loop knots very well tied. i went out boxing day while the family where at the in laws and used one of these rigs catching roach and chub a chuck at a local pond until i got too cold and did not lose one fish once hooked and a couple of chub lead me a right merry dance.overall if you're looking for ready tied rigs then these are the ones to look for.
Strengths: sensitivity balance and subtlety superior build quality
Weaknesses: no apparent weakness
Overall: this float is for catching fish, not like some that just catch anglers. drennan tackle in general is better made and this pattern is no exception. use it in all sizes on any still water and when its shotted properly it will go under when a fish sneezes near the hook.
