'CAVERNOUS YET BALANCED'
Strengths:

Superb protection for your rods, very well made, well balanced when full and with robust zips.
Designed to take 5 made-up rods and big pit reels with ease together with enough spare for other un-rigged rods.

The outer pockets are enormous and the longer pocket swallowed my JRC Defender and groundsheet with ease.

Weaknesses:

I would have like to have seen more padding on the shorter outer pocket as I am not too happy about placing my rod pod and bite alarms in there for fear of potential accidental damage when putting it into, or taking it out of, the car.

Some might think it too heavy, but then you have bought a 5 rod holdall that will take all of your necessary (yes, and some unnecessary) bits of kit, so what did you expect?

Overall:

Overall I think that the design, the build quality and the (negotiated?) price equates to a superb holdall and one that will last for many years to come.

It is very well balanced, unlike to so many of the cheaper brands available, and once you have learned how to pack it properly it literally swallows all of your kit.

I found it better to pack the first made-up rod inside, then pack one of the inverted rods, then another upright rod and so on until it is full. If you try to put your 3 ready made rods in first then it is a right squeeze to fit the last two (spod and marker rods) in the inverted position.

The price can be off-putting, but then it is available after a bit of bartering a lot cheaper than the RRP. I got mine for less than £80 but even at a reduced price it is still expensive, but then as I've often said before , quality is not cheap and this is a piece of real quality kit.

'TOO BIG!'
Strengths:
Very well thought out and made, maximum rod protection, looks good too!
Weaknesses:
Too big.Loaded with 5 made up rods and a brolley system, this thing takes on a whole new appearance.Barrow use is a must.
Overall:
Would make an excellent bag for overseas trips and suchlike, but moving swims on a day ticket water without a barrow would be hard work with one of these filled to its highest potential.

Because of its size you feel obliged to put more in.

'ITS A HOLDALL, FOR 5 MADE UP RODS.....'
Strengths:
Balances brilliantly
Excellent protection for made up rods
Tough material
Weaknesses:
Too much space in the pockets, they are a bit flappy - though there are ties to pull it tighter
You can get a back-busting amount in here with ease!
Overall:
Brilliant - everything ready when you get to the swim. £105 for a rodbag...!!
