If I had to be picky then I would like the spool to be wider, aiding distance casts. Loaded with 12 Ib line, the friction created on the spool is quite excessive. | | Overall:
Great 'small' carp reel! And good value when you consider the durability of the product. |

bait run system is the only good thing about this reel | | Weaknesses:
line twist is awful always had this problem and they done nothing to cure it | | Overall:
not very good . i hated mine after a few months they start to ware .handle movement etc spools wore .side to side movement causing the reel to vibrate when reeling in and if you put any grease near them to combat gear ware the bait run trip dont work. better left in the shop |

Handle soon works loose as does the spool if you're winching heavy rigs in with them. | | Overall:
Seven out of 10. They seem to develop the wobbles quicker than the previous 8010GTs.
You'd hope for more with a list price over £100, but they're seriously cheaper than this if you shop around. |

| 'GOOD GENERAL PIKE/CARP REEL' | | Strengths:
Good name behind product, smooth gearing feels better than previous model. | | Weaknesses:
Bad clutch when wound down hard, if you need a tight clutch for weedy/snaggy situations then it could be a big pit for you. | | Overall:
Excellent product if you shop around you can find a good price and have years of good service if used in standard practice. |
