'CLASSIC CANE SHAPE'
Strengths:
I have the CT 1.5Ib TC carp rod with a lovely full cork handle and the Avon number 1 which is 1Ib TC rated with again a lovely cork handle.
Both rods are finished off better than any other rod I own and have an almost cane action, soft and forgiving.
The TC rating is a little misleading as both rods have great back bone power and both have a through action.
As with B&W you can have custom fittings, my carp rod is full cork with a screw fitting and the Avon in the old type push together reel seats.
Both models are gold in colour, not bright in colour though and they are both matt finished.
They are very strong to and will handle bumps if you do drop one as I did with the Avon.
Weaknesses:
None really as they act like cane rods which is what I expected. Choose the fittings carefully as I do find that the carp rod with the solid metal screw reel fitting gets very cold to hold in the winter.
Overall:
A true classic rod that seems to increase in value and still hand made by a British company who's roots are deep within angling.
If you want something special then these are for you.

'Absolutely stunning.'
Strengths:
An absolute joy to play fish on.
Weaknesses:
Obviously distance casting is restricted to a certain degree.
Overall:
Had these rods for 13 years and never had a problem with them. They may not be fashionable but I don't care.
