| 'QUALITY SUIT, VERY WARM, WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE.' | | Strengths: Tough outer fabric, 100% waterproof, well made, very warm, loads of pockets, detatchable inner jacket, very breathable, excellent hood with peak. | | Weaknesses: I can't really think of many, it is quite bulky, but then most serious cold weather clothing is. | | Overall: I've fished the past winter with this suit and found it to be excellent, it's kept me warm and dry no problem. I've used it in sub zero temps night fishing for chub.
It's breathable enough that if I got sweaty carrying all my kit, in about 10 minutes of stopping and sitting down I was dry and comfortable again. The main coat has a quilted inner and an outer water proof jacket, so you can chop and change to suit the temperature. The inner isn't waterproof, but it does seem shower proof.
For all it's a big cold weather suit it's so well designed that it doesn't really feel that restrictive to wear, I find it stays put and doesn't twist or ride up even when I'm carrying lots of tackle.
The hood has wire peak which is great for keeping the rain off your specs, and is very well padded and warm.
If you're serious about doing some winter fishing, I'd recommend this suit, it makes time on the bank much more comfortable, get one and you'll be doing much more fishing :-) |
