'THE BEST'

Strengths:
very sharp and strong

a bit pricey

'THE BEST HOOK I'VE USED.'

Strengths:
The teflon coat makes this hook dull and non-reflective. It is very strong, you can put maximum pressure on it without fear of straightening it. It goes home everytime if you tie it correctly.

Weaknesses:
Beware the gap between the eye and the shank on the larger sizes. My only lost barbel this year was down to the knotless knot slipping through this. Easily avoided by whipping the knot away from the gap, but annoying just the same on an otherwise top product.

Overall:
Excellent hook, not just for barbel but carp and any big fish. I have total confidence even in the smaller sizes on large fish. Not the cheapest hook but worth paying a bit extra for as it's th most important part of your terminal tackle. Just watch that eye, it's the only negative. It would get a '5' for quality other than this defect.

'BY FAR THE BEST'

Strengths:
Very light, very sharp and very strong, comes in sizes 14 - 4 and you can totally rely on them not to let you down in even the smallest size, gave up the raptors after finding these, teflon coated with a wide gape, small barb and eyed, not cheap but reasonably priced compared to some.

Weaknesses:
none as yet, six months use over gravel.

Overall:
Your hook is the first point of contact with the fish and you must have total confidence in your tackle, these babies wont let you down, another quality product from Mr D.
