It not worth buying it. There are not many Pike Drop Off alarms on the market now but this one is not cheap. I see there is a lot of fault in this model. In my view it is not worth buying unless you really need it.

Pros:

If set up properly will give superb indication when a pike first picks up a DB. Takes a couple of visits to get the hang of the optimum setup but it is well worth the effort.

Cons:

Claims to be useful as a back up when float fishing - I can't see it myself. Wouldn't you simply watch the float? Also not cheap.

Excellent for dead baiting In my experience the Mk2 PS (Fixed arm) is very good. Thoughtful placement of the hooks along with immediate bite indication equals immediate strikes and 90+% hookups. No deep hooked fish all season which is well worth it.
