Shimano-exage-ax-competition-.jpg

Description: FREE UK DELIVERY. . It was not easy for Shimano to create a pole to replace the original Exage Competition but the new AX still has that fantastic combination of quality and competitivness. . It is, however, lighter and stiffer than the original Exage and the low diameter blank makes for easy handling even in the windiest of conditions.

Pros: Quality finish, ships out nicely, Really steady in the hand.
Cons: Haven't found any.

Great pole, feels great. Bought mine for concentrating on silvers, swapped a power 2 kit for match kits, found the pole great with 2, 6 and 10 elastics. Never used the power 2 kit yet.

Pros: Light and stiff, can be held all day. Although the the sections feel light they are quite strong.
Cons: I have had problems with top kits sections sticking together, which can get expensive. Got a top 2 stuck at moment and can't get it apart.

Cracking pole, had mine 2 years . Pleased with the pole and its performance, good package for prioce. I've used it for silver fish on canals and lakes and had carp up to 17lbs with no problems. I'm seriously thinking about the new replacement thats just come out.
