Pros: Real quality feel to them, baitrunner very smooth, no nicks now for dirt to get in.
Cons: ???

Got myself two of 'em and love 'em Look great and feel great and so far no problems at all. Best baitrunners I've ever owned, and I've had a few in my time.

Pros: Superb clutch, feels well engineered and looks great with the silver spool.
Cons: A bit garish with the gold spool.

Excellent! Excellent. The clutches on the old GTE's were not up to the job but Shimano have sorted the problem with the XTE-A.

Pros: Beautifully engineered, super smooth, excellent line lay.
Cons: None that I can tell.

If carlsberg built reels Just a pleasure and joy to use. Can only think that "tenga" (above), works for Fox or has a Chinese replica!!!

Pros: Performance
Cons: Cost, Handle on one of mine bent in when in my bag (unprotected though)

Very good reel Brilliant reel look around, if your looking at the 6000 go for the 8000 , lighter and more line capacity, I have the 6000's and only problem is i wished i had the 8000's same physical size but heavier ??????

Pros: GOOD RELIABLE CLUTCH,GOOD LINE LAY,BRILLIANT ADJUSTABLE BAITRUNNER,GOOD LINE CAPICITY,WELL BALANCED AND SOLID FEELING REEL
Cons: ONE PROBLEM I HAD, WAS ON THE FIRST SESSION I USED THEM I HAD THE REELS LOADED WITH BRAID AND HOOKED A 22LB MIRROR WHILE I PLAYED THE FISH I HAD THE CLUTCH SET LIGHTLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAID,I USED MY INDEX FINGER ON THE SPOOL RIM TO SLOW ITS RUNS DOWN,WHIL

Excellent reliable carp reel BOUGHT THREE 10K REELS TO REPLACE THREE AGEING DAIWA EMBLEMS THEY DO EVERYTHING THE EMBLEMS DONE AND A LOT THEY DID NOT DO

Pros: The reel has got a silky smooth clutch that other manufacures just cannot match. The baitrunner facility disengages quickly with no fuss allowing the angler to concentrate on the task of playing the fish.
Cons: The double handle is easily bent

The best just got a whole lot better The best baitrunner avaliable on the market.

Pros: NONE
Cons: LIKE ALL SHIMANO,S THEY LACK STRENGTH WHEN REELING IN A BIG FISH .THE REELS START TO SLIP WHEN WINDING IN THE BIG HEAVY FISH.

Not a predator reel OK FOR SMALL FISH BUT NOT HEAVY DUTY FISH

Pros: Good workhorse, strong for its size(5000), much improved drag and baitrunner system, sharp response, and more enclosed to prevent mud and grit entering the inside.
Cons: Non so far, bought when first out, but i did trade with a local dealer, and these were a nice upgrade. But i guess price has reduced and deals to be had.

Excellent- smooth and tough They along with my Harrison chimera no 2, have been superb for the last year, hard graft and selling huge amounts of tackle at a loss bought the rods and REELS, and they are perfect, well worth the effort
