Pros: Fully enclosed bearings with no chance of getting dirt in them. One flick sets it rotating for almost 2 minutes and even a small 2bb float will start it off. Beautiful black anodised finish, tough as nails and has a good ratchet as well.
Cons: Footprint is rather large and won't fit some reel seats, but small ones are available from the manufacturer or you can easily dismantle it and trim it up a little.

One of the best centre pins made today If you're looking for a really good carefree centre pin reel without breaking the bank then the Kingpin might be just what you're looking for. I love mine!

Pros: Very free running with an excellent ratchet mechanism. A nice sized reel at 4.5 inches in diameter.
Cons: Getting used to the free run of this reel in varying river flows (human error)

A little belter Once set in motion the smallest float will pull it along.Made by the same company which mkes the Bob James centrepin.I was told it is the same reel without the B.James logo.

Pros: Excellent big fish reel because it is so strong and well made.
Cons: It's rather heavy. It also does not have a drag, which may be a problem for some people especially piking from a boat.

Good but rather heavy I bought my Kingpin second hand off eBay. I won't say for how much as it might make some people rather sick :-)))The reel is lovely and smooth and certainly spins well. It is not a reel for using on your local roach river though. It is highly suited
