Pros:

Lovely action. versatile and very easy playing fish.

Cons:

Once again the bag is very poor. Reel seat does not accept all reels so make sure you take your preferred reel(s) to your tackle shop and try them.

Fantastic Very impressed with the lighter Avon Quiver system so stepped up to this. Excellent investment, have used it for close margins, ledgering, quiver, small to medium method and even float fishing. Have finally started to get into big fish (carp 18lb+) which

A great all round rod if you cannot afford to by separate rods for a range of species and approaches. Superb action and fish handling. A pleasure to use in both avon and quivertip configurations.

Cons:

The bag - poor material and design - but as I generally leave them made up in rod sleeves I don't much care about that.

A great rod - i'm delighted with it I purchased a pair of these as good all-round rods to enable me to fish rivers and lakes for a range of species. They have handled upper double carp, large tench and chub really well and, as Austin says, the action makes them a pleasure to use over a rang

Carry one rod and have an 11ft Avon,an 11ft quiver, a 13ft quiver and an 13ft float rod with you. Out of interest the quiver tips are the opposite to the Avon, ie green lightest then yellow and red the heaviest, (got this info from Masterline).

Cons:

As others have mentioned bag could be better (I have not caught a single fish on it!)

As good as the avon version - just more power! As a value for money, versatile rod that is a pleasure to use and play fish with I do not think you can get better (I paid for both of mine).I have handled, but not fished with, rods costing much more, ie Free Spirit etc and would not swap mine for any o

Pros:

Fairly versatile, a proper stepped up avon rather than a stepped down carp rod, full cork for the traditionalists, nice natural livery, and very forgiving action.

Cons:

Doesn't feel quite right at 13 feet as it loses its balance and would be hard work to trot with for any length of time. At 11ft, with the avon top section, it is a perfect smaller river barbel rod. Mine is used exclusively with a pin and it feels just rig

A proven winner for barbel Its very good at what it's very good at, but don't buy it thinking that it will be ideal for everything. At a push it is an acceptable power float rod but there really are much better tools for that job.
