Shimano-Seido-Rear-Drag-R.jpg

Description: A new rear drag model for 2008; this robust and reliable range of reels have a versatile 5.2:1 gear ratio and a 9 Ball Bearing equivalent performance- making it a reel that will suit most aspects- whether it be feeder- float- silver fish or commercial carp. Smooth and powerful but great looking too- the range features a multi-disc rear fighting drag system- a biomechanical handle for power and a cold forged push button spool (2 spare cold forged- single anodised spools included) for instant spool swaps.

Pros: Very smooth.............that's about it.
Cons: Heavy, bulky, covered in screwed on glitzy panels, limited drag settings and the bail arm requires a very firm turn of the handle to flip back.

Avoid ...... Not a patch on the earlier 4000 models I bought a couple to replace my ten year old Super GT's, what a disappointment. I returned them. All the trimmings are a recipe for mud and salt to get trapped. I got them mainly for mullet fishing, but the limited drag settings would be a great disadvant
