Hate to say it but's it's over priced rubbish This is the first offering Shimano have put forward to the very competitive Fly reel market. It is a shame that they did not investigate the market a bit more. Large arbour reels dominate this market today with very good reason.I have great respect for

Beautifully made, smooth running, totally reliable (so far).

A little heavy, finish marks easily, cheap-looking neoprene pouch.

A pleasure to use I use my Ultegra exclusively for light line river fishing for wild trout and grayling, with either a 7ft brook rod or an 8.5ft 5wt. It has been a joy to use and it looks superb. Other anglers have even commented to me on how good it looks. For the price (

Beautifully made and eye catching with a good solid drag. Suits my Greys GRX 2/3wt 7'6" and 3/4wt 7' perfectly.

Cons:

Small arbour but a good line won't coil much anyway.

Very well engineered I didn't pay full price either but even if I had I'd be happy with it. In fact I went out and bought another one!

Superb shimano build quality, the drag ratcheted has a very satisfying rasp to it, not quite a HoH Angel which sounds like an Aston martin but,, dam fine sounding and feeling reel.Throws off water nicely and spool release / lock mechanism like everything

Very nice Overall its not a HoH Angel, but on a shoestring (comparatively) a fantastic fly reel, it wont catch you more fish but anything that adds to the enjoyment of fishing which this reel most certainly does is worth it.

Great reel for the money. Fantastic drag, great sound and would stop a train. Also very well made. Holds a lot of backing compared to your average "large arbour" monster. In truth many of these so-called LA reels are actually mid arbour anyway (unlike tru

Not as light as some due to non-drilled cage. And hey Mr Hutchison HoH Angels look great but the drag adjuster breaks nails and if you play guitar that ain't good at all so I got rid of mine.
