Description: The Big Baitrunner Long Cast has no need for the additional expense of conversions, the baitrunner mechanism disengages automatically once the handle is wound forward and the baitrunner clutch is then transferred to the pre-tensioned main drag instantly, thereby putting the angler in control of both terminal tackle and fish.

Pros: excellent line lay, smooth running, good solid gearing, better than the other big pit reels because it has a baitrunner facility.
Cons: unarguably the price, they are a brilliant reel but they do cost a lot of money, and a spare spool also costs a further 35 quid.

As good as a bait runner gets excellent quality and in my opinion the best big pit reel bar none, you get what you pay for in this case.

Pros: Solid, solid, solid - it seems absolutely bombproof. It will hold enough line to get you to the other side of tommorrow. I wanted the big pit for the physical size of the spool, not the line capacity, so I bulked it out with sea line first, and I still
Cons: The reel is physically big and weighty. I leaded around for 20 minutes or so, and I found the reel a dead weight to hold for any length of time. The part which spins round which holds the bail arm is heavy, so when you put the rod back in the rests, the

Its the daddy, if you like that sort of thing. If you need a big reel to cast to Belgium with a 2lb lead and winch in a people carrier, and for it to do it through a nuclear attack - this reel is for you.Personally I have compared it to the Daiwa Sportsmatic (I got one of each off eBay).Shimano wins

Pros: A very reliable solid reel. Excellant line lay and spool capacity. A very tight reel with no play even in reverse and a good solid baitrunner
Cons: The price of spare spools at

Quality, reliability, shimano Wouldn't swap them for any other reel, they are 100% reliable and it doesnt matter what the conditions are like you can rely on their solid operation. Used entohs in the past and just love the real baitrunner facility on the long casts. Quality always com

Pros: Very solid and reliable reel. I've used these through all weathers and conditions from carping through the winter ice in England to boat fishing for cats at 40 degrees with 100 kilo braid in Spain and they've never missed a beat.Line lay is good and the
Cons: The only weakness with this reel is the bulk. It's big and heavy but if you fish static most of the time with the rods on the pod then who cares. I've seen people say they're pricey but at 120 quid if you shop around I don't think that's too bad and you

Solid reliable workhorse A great reel. Solid and reliable if you buy one it'll do what it's supposed to and it won't let you down. I was given power aero's as a present and though they are great reels I've switched back to the LC's as they do everything I need with no problems.

Pros: THAY LAST FOR EVER AND THAY ARE GOOD FOR THE BIG PITS

Not as good as the old bait runner OK BUT I LIKE THE DAIWA 5500 BAIT RUNNERS
