Pros: Although the test curve of 4.5 Ibs is somewhat lower than similarly priced spod rods, the fast taper design gives this rod plenty of power. I've cast fully loaded large spods, and still felt that I wasn't getting enough compression on the rod. The guides
Cons: The handle, although attractive, is too small to accommodate my Shimano Aerlex big pit reel. It barely squeezes on, however on a spod rod one would think that the handle would be designed to accommodate big pit reels - not 6010 Baitrunners!

Good spod rod, but beware the handle. Excluding the gripe with the handle, it's a nice looking well built rod with plenty of power in the butt and mid-section. It can easily propel fully loaded spods 100+ yds - period.
