It's own internal battery is charged just by allowing it to soak up the sunlight. It works in cloudy weather but takes a little longer. It will then power a mobile phone for up to 44 hours, an iPod for up to 18 hours, a PDA for up to 22 hours and a PSP for up to 21/2 hours.
